Shopping malls are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and don’t see any chances for it to reopen till next couple of months. People visit shopping malls to buy, to eat, to hang out. But there’s more to it, in India we find a lot of college students bunk their colleges and visit malls to simply pass their time.

There’s another category of people visiting for window shopping, which are useless for shop owners when it comes to business. There are love birds who occupy the sitting bench or chairs for hours and hours romancing with words. In my opinion, the shopping malls should come up with a ‘Disinfection Entrance Fee’ for all the visitors, whereby every person entering the mall has to pay some fee, let’s say Rs. 25 for 2 hours.

They show the ticket upon exit and pay extra if they have been in the mall for more than 2 hours. This will bring down the visitors volume. Hence only the serious ones who want to buy something will visit the mall.

If not, then still have to pay the entrance fees, this will keep away the college crowd, which is again sitting at home because their colleges are closed.
