India’s leading NGO, A.K. Munshi Yojana, commemorated its 59th anniversary and service to humanity by celebrating the grand opening of their Medical and Counselling centre for the public. The event included magnificent stage performances by the special children, dedicated to our national heroes.
Present on the occasion as Chief Guests were eminent personalities who have not only supported A.K Munshi Yojana throughout its journey, but also helped in building awareness for the various causes rallied by the NGO. The event was graced by Juhi Chawla Mehta (Actress), Shri Parsottambhai Rupala (Cabinet Minister, Agriculture and Panchayat Raj), Ms Poonam Mahajan (Member of Parliament), Mansukhbhai Mandvia (Minister of State Road & Transport), Shri Dilipbhai Lakhi (Leading Diamantaire & Philanthropist), Dr. Ritvij Patel (President of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha) and Atul Shah (Former MLA, now Corporator, and President C&D Ward-BMC).
The evening festivities began with children dancing on the patriotic songs to salute and give tribute to our national heroes and were followed by a special presentation on Swaach Bharat Abhiyan and Plastic ban. Respectable Teachers of the school also contributed to the performances.
Smt. Bharati Ganjawalla, President, A.K. Munshi Yojana in her inaugural speech on the opening of the grand Medical Centre remarked, “A.K. Munshi Yojana began with the vision to help and empower underprivileged people, by giving them the tools to take back control of their lives. We have worked hard to achieve this, but there is plenty of work which must be done to improve the quality of life of the people living in the lower strata of society. This grand medical centre is a step in the direction to provide the public access to good quality health and wellness services.”
The Chief Guests addressed the audience, commending the work done by A.K. Munshi Yojana over the years. The ceremony concluded with musical night and distribution of mementos.
